JOE MCCOY TEE / FLYIN’ HI

The JOE McCOY TEE / FLYIN’ HI tee is made from 8 oz. cotton and features a classic 1950s boxy fit. The binder neck ensures the neckline holds its shape through repeated wear and washing. The FLYIN’ HI graphic is hand printed at our Kobe headquarters using traditional manual techniques, achieving the authentic texture and feel of vintage T-shirts.

Throughout the 60s paper kites were a familiar part of American childhood. Sold in hardware stores and neighbourhood shops for just a few cents, they were flown in schoolyards, parks, and vacant lots until the wind, the trees, or a snapped line brought them back down to earth. Many were also produced as promotional items, inexpensive diamond-shaped paper kites were printed for local spots like WOLFIE’S or the ULSTER CLUB, as well as gas stations, radio stations, and food brands, often handed out to kids as simple giveaways.
