The Story

The LEATHER ARCHED SANDAL is inspired by arched sandals of the 1970s. Taking this classic design a step further, a custom-made midsole has been added, providing exceptional comfort and support. Crafted from cowhide leather, the upper will gradually mould to the shape of your feet, offering a personalised fit over time. The sandal is finished with a custom-made non-slip rubber sole.

The modern flip-flop that we know today was first invented in the USA and inspired by the Japanese geta and zori sandals that were often taken home by soldiers after the Second World War as souvenirs, with some of the East Coast still calling sandals “zories”. Initially, these sandals were produced in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, known for its booming rubber industry at the time.
