The Story

The LEATHER ARCHED SANDAL is inspired by arched sandals of the 1970s. Taking this classic design a step further, we’ve added a custom-made midsole, providing unmatched comfort and support. The LEATHER ARCHED SANDAL is crafted from cowhide leather which, with support from the midsole, will gradually mould to your feet for a more personal fit. The LEATHER ARCHED SANDAL has been finished with a custom-made none slip rubber sole.

The modern flip-flop that we know today was first invented in the USA and inspired by the Japanese geta and zori sandals that were often taken home by soldiers after the Second World War as souvenirs, with some of the East Coast still calling sandals “zories”. Initially, these sandals were produced in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, known for its booming rubber industry at the time.
