The t-shirt has been hand-printed at our Kobe HQ and features the final score of the famous 1977 Army-Navy football game, held on November 26 at Philadelphia’s John F. Kennedy Stadium.

This game was a significant event in the storied rivalry between the U.S. Military Academy (Army) and the U.S. Naval Academy (Navy). In front of a crowd of 81,091 spectators, the Army Black Knights secured a 17-14 victory over the Navy Midshipmen, marking Army’s first winning season since 1972.

This win was particularly meaningful for Army, as it ended a four-game losing streak to Navy and secured the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy for the Black Knights. 

The rivalry between Army and Navy Academy football teams is one of the most storied and intense rivalries in U.S. college sports. The rivalry dates back to 1890 when the two teams first met on the football field. Known as the Army-Navy Game, it has since become an annual tradition and a highly revered event.
