The Story

The USN MEDICAL DEPARTMENT SLEEPING PANTS are crafted from a vat-dyed, basket-woven cotton fabric and closed with an integrated self-fabric tie and press stud.

Originally issued for use in naval medical facilities, such as shipboard sickbays and field hospitals, these pants were designed for comfort and ease of wear for both patients and medical staff. Early versions were typically made from white cotton cloth, whereas later models from the 1950s were produced using light blue cotton flannel - both colors commonly associated with hospital attire. This reinterpretation is constructed from the fabric used in our N-3 UTILITY SHIRT.

  • 100% Cotton
  • Vat-dyed
  • Cotton Webbing Front Ties
  • Cotton Sewing Thread Construction
  • Made in Japan
