The WELLINGTON SUNGLASSES (BLACK/CLEAR) are inspired by the eyewear popular among Ivy League students in the 1950s and are carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a renowned center for eyewear craftsmanship.
The WELLINGTON SUNGLASSES (BLACK/CLEAR) are crafted from double-layered acetate, a material made from bio-polymers derived from wood pulp or natural cotton fibers. Acetate became a preferred choice for sunglasses thanks to its lightweight, comfortable properties and its superiority over earlier plastics. These frames feature a smooth two-tone finish, reinforced with sturdy 7-barrel hinges, and are completed with smoked glass lenses.
